Rustic and elegant – end-grain veneer makes both possible. «Butt Cut» is thinly sliced end-grain veneer made from noble wood. The fascinating appearance is achieved by joining many small veneer pieces together. End-grain, also known as butt cut, has a distinct rustic and original character. It is produced by cutting the tree trunk not lengthwise but across.
The growth rings are beautifully visible as circles. The thinness of the veneer relieves the tension from the cross-cut wood. The fleece on the back provides additional strength and easy handling. The optional melamine-coated surface makes the wood resistant to moisture.
