The combination of a thin, rectangular tabletop and legs set diagonally to the top creates a whimsical character, further enhanced by the diagonal arrangement of the inlay. The table base is solid wild service tree (Elsbeere), with a clear matte lacquer finish. The wood inlays made of wild service tree, maple, and walnut are also finished with a clear matte lacquer. The table surface and underside are covered with anthracite-colored linoleum. The table core is made of specially laminated balsa wood.
