The use of our globally unique laser technology, «Sublidot by Strasserthun», allows us virtually endless possibilities to refine materials into three-dimensional surface textures in terms of both shape and tactile feel – contactless, intricate, and extremely precise.

Precise edges, even with complex object shapes or sizes, consistently delivering high quality, even on uneven surfaces.

To implement this, we only require a vector or image file.

Creativity in a new dimension

There are no limits to your imagination.

We look forward to hearing your ideas during a consultation with our experts and working together with you to develop a surface that excites you.

Result

Sublimation refers to the physical phenomenon where a solid transitions directly into a gaseous state through the application of energy, without any intermediate melting. This requires a high input of power into the smallest possible volume. If the material has a liquid phase, it can temporarily form along the cutting edges (and immediately solidify again).

Materials

In principle, all wood-based materials or materials with a sufficiently high organic content, up to a workpiece size of 320 x 210 cm, can be sublimated. For example:

  • Solid wood
  • Veneer
  • Particleboard
  • MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard)
  • OSB (Oriented Strand Board)
  • Linoleum
  • Synthetic resin
  • Solid surface material (Mineralwerkstoff)
  • Acrylic
  • Engineered concrete (C-Beton)
  • Anodized aluminum
  • And more.

Additional Laser Processing

In addition to our flagship laser sublimation, we also offer the «classic» laser processing techniques:

  • Lasercut: The laser efficiently and precisely cuts complex shapes at high speeds.
  • Laser engraving: Heating the surface of a material creates permanent, abrasion-resistant engravings with the highest precision.

In the case of solid wood, laser sublimation becomes a highlight: The hard years and knots are less worn down than the young, soft years with a high lignin content. This results in incredible and unique one-of-a-kind pieces.
