Heugade 1878

«1878 is the wedding year of Samuel and Elisabeth Gerber, the second generation at Kemmeriboden-Bad. The antique cabinet they received as a wedding gift adorns the room ‘Heugade 1878.’ The room is located in the attic of the annex. […] The walls made of compressed hay and rose petals, as well as the reclaimed wood used, harken back to the hay barn. The room is also suitable for allergy sufferers. The partition wall to the bathroom displays a historical photograph of haymaking at Kemmeriboden.»

Merängge Klimachämmerli

«To keep the ‘Merängge’ fresh and crispy until it’s served at our guests’ table, we have built two humidors. These maintain the perfect temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum humidity of 20% consistently. Come by and discover the two ‘Merängge Klimachämmerli’ (Merengue Climate Chambers) in our hotel lobby. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse […] of one of our chefs picking up the ‘Merängge’ for further processing.»

Kemmeriboden Bad 2.0

The lower section of the Hotel and Inn Kemmeriboden-Bad near Schangnau in the Emmental was completely destroyed during a flood in the summer of 2022. Exactly one year after the storm, it was reopened. We were also fortunate to make a significant contribution to the reconstruction, thus restoring Kemmeriboden to its former charm.
