The word «furnier» originated in the 16th century and is derived from the French expression «fournir,» meaning to provide or supply. The process of overlaying less valuable material with finer, thin wood sheets to save resources is still a highly demanding craft today. Various woods and veneer techniques offer countless design possibilities for surfaces or objects. An essential aspect of creating beautiful veneer work is surface treatment. Depending on the wood species, veneer pattern, and usage, different surface finishes are applied. We use both traditional craftsmanship techniques and modern technologies to enhance veneers, influencing the grain, intensifying contrasts, or altering natural colors.
